new to this
Hello from the uk, Jenson put me on to this site as I sayed at his house recently and saw his rather large collection of landrovers I hope to come over to france at some point to do some green laning /offroading ,I own a 300tdi discovery which is my 8th one, I have also had a 200tdi 90,and a rangerover and a series 2a and used to work for Mondial in the uk for landrover assistance.
Sadly its frowned upon to drive offroad due to the many walkers and legislation and sadly many lanes are overgrown.
I should manage your language with help from google translator and hope to learn yout language in the process.
thankyou Steve

p1612 fault
Hi jason have spoken to my very good friends at my bosch fuel injection specialists who I have known for years and they checked those codes out to no avail it does not come up on landrover or universal codes but they really know there stuff and they recon the fault lies with your low pressure fuel pump in the osr wheel arch and its also worth checking that the filter next to it has been replaced as they get overlooked very often, hope that may point you in the right direction good luck steve P.S I work with modern rubbish everyday and its all a bit cheap and nasty thats why I have given up buying new cars and drive a1998 tdi disco 1998 tdi passat and a 2005 tdi lt35 camping car, I like the older stuff as you can repair it, you should see the bills that some customers get often running into thousands of pounds scary stuff where as I ordered timing belt kit full service kit 2 diff pinion seals 1 shot grease for the axle rear prop doughnut with delivery for £88 all in its the way forward......I hope

Re: new to this
Hi Steve
Thanks for your time & trouble.
This td4 model has a pump in the fuel tank and another under the bonnet next to the diesel filter, the one under the bonnet is working as you can hear it so I will have to check that the one in the tank is def working.
Totaly agree with you regarding new cars and all their electrickery and hence the reason why I'm well happy with my 20 year old 110 !
Thanks once again
Jason

guess work
Ah sorry I was taking a guess on the age of it, I would still check the filter cut it open and have a good look, listen to the pump running and see if it sounds a little strained I can often tell by the sound of the fuel pump on the newer mercedes sprinters as to the condition of the filter the common rail engines are very finicky when it comes to fuel pressure later thanks steve
